Lisa has spent many years in the field of nursing and enjoys working in the specialty of women's health. Lisa graduated in 1987 from Wallace Community College with her RN degree, and has worked in nursing for more than 25 years. After working in various areas, Lisa realized that she wanted to use her experience to focus primarily on women's health at an advanced level. This led her to an introduction to Shelrel, who was the inspiration for Lisa pursuing a degree in nurse midwifery. Lisa earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Troy University, and master's degree in midwifery and women's health from the University of Cincinnati. She is board certified in Nurse Midwifery and as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. Lisa has practiced in Meridian, Mississippi, and Dothan, Alabama, and has served on the Alabama Board of Nursing Advanced Practice Nursing Committee. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society, AWHONN, and ACNM.
Lisa and her family are from Southeast Alabama. She has been married 33 years to her high school sweetheart, Kevin. They have 2 children and 5 grandchildren, who are the apples of her eye! She loves helping to bring God's newest creations into the world, and enjoys a career where she is able to promote God's love in what she does. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, sewing, crocheting, writing, and spending time with her grandbabies!
